Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

As the Maintenance Associate at Sitzes Self Storage, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our storage facilities. You will be a part of a team of maintenance technicians and oversee all aspects of maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols. This is a hands-on role that requires initiative, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and secure environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Facility Maintenance:

- Conduct regular inspections of the storage facilities to identify maintenance needs.

- Coordinate the perform preventive maintenance tasks such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.

- Respond promptly to repair requests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.

2) Safety and Compliance:

- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and providing training to employees.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building codes, fire safety, and hazardous materials.

- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective actions.

3) Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools.

- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary materials.

4) Customer Service:

- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing maintenance concerns or inquiries.

- Be proficient in office operations in regards to unit rentals, payments, ect.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training is a plus.

- Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.

- Proficiency in performing various maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
