Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Akron, Ohio. If you have experience maintaining industrial equipment and are eager to keep operations running smoothly, this opportunity is for you.

You will support a dynamic manufacturing environment by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This role is vital to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, be able to work independently or with a team, and prioritize production support at all times.

Hours
1st Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm
2nd Shift: 11:00am-7:15pm (training on 1st shift)

Pay
$28-$34 an hour
Salary range: $58,240.00 - $66,560.00 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production machinery including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Complete control wiring and machine wiring work
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed
  • Complete plumbing work including PVC, PEX, copper, and stainless steel, including threading and non-thread applications
  • Use a wide range of hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow safety procedures, participate in safety training, and maintain a strong safety mindset
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior hands-on experience in industrial maintenance including the areas listed above
  • Electrical experience working with 24V–480V, including millivolt and milliamp ranges
  • Forklift certification (or ability to be certified if needed)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with welding and fabrication
  • Plumbing skills involving PVC, PEX, copper, and stainless steel

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must work on-site
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
