Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Facilities Tech Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician I performs routine semi-skilled building maintenance across facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure they remain safe, clean, and functional. Work involves a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general repairs. This position supports maintenance operations for the casino, hotel, restaurants, RV park, and surrounding properties.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform drywall repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and lighting maintenance.
• Repair and maintain furniture, doors, hardware, kitchen/cleaning equipment, and facility upgrades.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inventory control, and record-keeping.
• Assist with event setup, grounds keeping, snow removal, and guest-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards while providing excellent customer service.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 6–12 months of related maintenance experience or technical training.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain a Class III Swinomish Gaming Commission permit upon hire.
