We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining our production equipment and systems, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operation. This includes but is not limited to: lathes, mills, grinders, heat treatment equipment, and polishing machines.

2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as necessary, minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency.

3. Conduct heat treatment processes and oxide removal, ensuring products meet quality standards.

4. Carry out metal polishing tasks, maintaining a high level of finish and detail.

5. Maintain detailed records of maintenance procedures and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

6. Participate in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.

7. Collaborate with the production team to identify potential improvements in processes and equipment and implement these changes.

8. Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.

2. Proven experience with metal polishing, heat treatment, and oxide removal.

3. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and systems.

4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

5. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing environment.

6. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide guidance to junior staff.

8. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

9. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant vocational training or certification is a plus.
