Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians for multiple shifts. These positions are responsible for maintaining and repairing plastic molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on plastic molding machines and auxiliary equipment, adhering to the established schedule.
• Make necessary adjustments to preventative maintenance programs.
• Install and repair grinders, thermulators, chillers, and other ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, with 80% of issues being mechanical and 20% electrical, including wiring repairs on 480-volt machines.
• Utilize problem-solving tools to identify the root cause of maintenance issues.
• Participate actively in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Install and transfer equipment as needed and perform facility maintenance tasks such as repairing floor fans or overhead cranes.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, preventive maintenance, and installation.
• 2-5 years of experience with plastic injection molding.
• Associate's Degree, Trade, Technical Support, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems.
• Experience with electrical circuits and injection molding machines.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with robots and automation equipment.
• PLC troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

Our facility is modern and well-maintained, featuring two break rooms with amenities such as TV, free coffee, and fountain machines. Although the plant is not temperature controlled and can be warm due to the machines, large shipping doors are opened on cool days to help regulate the temperature.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
