Maintenance Technician Apprentice

What You'll Do

The Maintenance Technician position involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of all major equipment and building systems under the supervision of experienced technicians. This includes production equipment and all areas related to mechanical and structural building upkeep.

  • Under the guidance of experienced technicians, work on all major equipment maintenance projects, including, but not limited to, extruders, media cutters, high-intensity mixers, kilns, industrial burners, dust collectors, vacuum pumps, and conveyors
  • Perform PM tasks as well as various scheduled machine audits
  • Assist in developing preventative maintenance plans for all critical machines and systems
  • Work with EHS group to complete relevant safety audits and contribute to safety-related projects
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment while assisting with cleanup efforts.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this position, you must:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Training will be provided for all equipment and tools required that are specific to our operation
  • Experience using hand tools and powered hand tools
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills with welding and machining equipment
  • Willingness to learn new roles and tasks as business needs evolve
  • Have a strong commitment to safety and work well in a team environment
