JOB SUMMARY:  Performs maintenance duties such as assisting senior maintenance team in installing major plant and machine electric services, plumbing and facilities.  Also performs routine tasks such as mowing lawns, installing routing air and electric drops, rearranging manufacturing floor and production lines, and general carpentry work. Repairs and maintains physical structure of building and grounds Performs planned maintenance on machines Installs and repairs major electrical, pneumatic, and water lines Follow all ISO procedures within the Maintenance department Abide by all company policies and procedures  Use training knowledge to think independently Handle a flexible work load Lift and carry boxes from one location to another Drive a Forklift/Scissor Lift  Insure proper quality of work Other assignments as designated by Maintenance Supervisor Must be courteous and respectful of all non-departmental and departmental employees Must have a positive attitude and accept change quickly Accomplishing multiple tasks with limited supervision while upholding the highest quality and housekeeping standards.

OTHER FUNCTIONS 

Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED  This position reports to assigned Maintenance supervisor and manager.  This position does not have any supervisor responsibilities.  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have a high school education or equivalent; Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Excellence attendance and able to work overtime as required to meet company objectives Ability to work quickly and effectively without close supervision Excellent attendance Willingness to learn Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Some College. Forklift Operator Driver's Certification Welding Skills Electrical Installation Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms.  The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy.  The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate.  The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times. WORK ENVIRONMENT:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places, is exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; and works in outdoor weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
