Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and system failures promptly to minimize downtime.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed to complete projects.
• Assist with facility upgrades and installations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.

Work Environment

This position is based in Arlington, VA, and involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The role may require lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods.
