QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 2–5+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, and installation of automated food packaging machinery
* Hands-on experience with candy, protein bar, and similar food packaging lines
* Knowledge of flow wrappers, pouchers, and other packaging equipment
* Experience with PLCs, HMIs, servos, motion controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics
* Ability to coordinate and implement preventive maintenance programs
* Experience performing mechanical acceptance checks on new equipment
* Ability to analyze vibration, alignment, and lubrication data to maintain equipment integrity
* Knowledge of spare parts management and inventory control
* Experience reviewing and recommending new equipment purchases
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with maintenance teams and management
* Willingness to travel regionally to support plant operations
* Commitment to safety and adherence to company maintenance protocols

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support maintenance crews and provide technical support for mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance programs
* Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for all critical machinery and equipment, including lubrication programs
* Monitor effectiveness of maintenance programs and make modifications as necessary
* Administer work orders related to preventive maintenance, including checklists, instruction sheets, and other materials
* Serve as mechanical acceptance specialist for newly installed plant equipment to ensure proper installation
* Assist in reviewing new equipment prior to purchase and recommend proper selections, including spare parts lists
* Perform routine vibration analyses on large rotating machines and maintain baseline and trend records
* Recommend corrective actions to maintain equipment integrity based on vibration, alignment, and maintenance data
* Update and maintain Lubrication Manual with specifications and instructions for all plant machinery
* Analyze management information reports and equipment histories to identify high-maintenance machinery and recommend improvements
* Promote plant standardization of pumps, valves, instruments, and other components to simplify maintenance and reduce costs
* Assist Maintenance Manager and Planner with pre-planning for turnarounds, shutdowns, and special projects
* Coordinate job sequencing, crew sizing, parts/materials ordering, and overall scheduling for maintenance projects
* Review spare parts inventory and submit recommendations to optimize stock levels
* Travel regionally to support plant operations and maintenance activities

REGIONAL TRAVEL
 
Support maintenance crews and provide technical suppoort regarding mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance programs for routine, shutdown, and project activities to support continuous plant operations and high efficiency.
 
Shall:
 
• Coordinate Preventive Maintenance Programs for all critical machinery and equipment, and lubrication programs for all plant machinery, including monitoring program effectiveness and making modifications as necessary.
 
• Administer work orders relating to approved preventive maintenance programs and related checklists, instruction sheets, and other material defining work to be done, frequency of execution, and sequence of steps to be followed.
 
• Serve as mechanical acceptance specialist on newly installed plant equipment to assure proper installation.
 
• Assist review of new equipment prior to purchase and recommend proper selections including spare parts lists.
 
• Make routine vibration analyses of all large rotating machines; keep up-to-date records of vibration base line data, vibration trends, and alignment data; and recommend corrective action as required to maintain equipment integrity.
 
• Update and maintain Lubrication Manual containing lubricant specifications and lubricating instructions for all plant machinery.
 
• Perform analyses of pertinent management information reports and equipment histories to identify machinery and equipment with high maintenance costs or with lubrication problems, and make recommendations for corrective action.
 
• Promote plant standardization of pumps, valves, instruments, etc., to simplify maintenance work, standardize work methods, reduce inventory, and reduce manufacturing cost.
 
• Assist Maintenance Manager and Planner with pre-planning turnarounds, shutdowns, and special projects, including timing, accumulation of job lists, ordering parts and materials, sequencing jobs around a critical path, sizing work crews based on job estimation, and preparation of an overall schedule.
 
• Review stock of spare parts carried by Stores and submit recommendations to adjust inventory.
