Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician
Are you a meticulous and dependable team player with a passion for customer service? We invite you to join our KAAPA team as an Maintenance Technician at our Aurora location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Specific responsibilities: pump repair, minor welding and fabrication, daily rounds, greasing and oiling, service of rolling stock, all items serviced per services schedule, equipment replacement
- Inspect, test and adjust repairs of all physical plant machinery, heating, cooling, piping and fire water systems
- Inspect, test, and rebuild pumps in accordance with recommended schedules
- Maintain shop vehicles and parts room
- Maintain records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
- Clean up after each job is completed
Working Hours:
- Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30pm and must be available for overtime work and/ or on a call-in basis as the plant is operational 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous institutional maintenance experience preferred
- Must have in depth knowledge of pumps, seals, bearings, and alignment techniques
- Knowledge of methods and techniques used in plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning and mechanics regarding pumps, refrigeration and automotive repairs preferred
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to others and work well as a team
- Basic computer experience
