Job Title: Maintenance Technician Department: Facilities / Engineering Reports To: Plant Manager Job Type: Full-Time (may include shifts or weekends depending on company needs)
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role supports operational efficiency by minimizing downtime and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery, tools, and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of facilities and production equipment to identify and correct issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usage.
Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, company policies).
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
Work with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software (e.g., CMMS).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
Work Environment:
Primarily warehouse setting.
May involve extended periods of standing, lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
Other duties as assigned by plant management.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
HVAC certification, electrical license, or welding skills.
Forklift operation certification.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
