Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping machines and equipment in safe operating condition by performing preventative maintenance, machine tests, troubleshoots, inspections, removing technical issues, and performing emergency repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems, and CMMS.
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Remove and replace worn or defective parts. of drive mechanism or hydraulic systems.
- Continuously upgrade equipment to improve operating efficiency.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on schedule with appropriate record keeping.
- Monitor lubrication systems and address, as needed.
- Add/change electrical wiring, as needed.
- Provide electrical and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Comply and enforce Lockout/Tag Out procedures.
- Follow all established quality, safety, and production procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical experience and knowledge of electrical control systems.
- Mechanical experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair industrial electronics systems.
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
- Ability to operate various power and hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS
- Use of Servo systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fabrication experience.
- Die Stamping machine experience.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) for an extended period.
- Ability to follow proper safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
