Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues

  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary

  • Assist with facility improvements and special projects

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Technical certification or vocational training preferred

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience (industrial, commercial, or residential)

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Basic computer skills for work order systems

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs

  • Welding or fabrication experience

  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

Work Environment

  • May work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
