Description
LOCATION: SUHRCO - Maple Park Apartments (Bellingham, WA)
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for fixing things and a passion for keeping everything running smoothly?
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain the quality and comfort of our apartment communities. You’ll play a critical role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents—all while working with a team that values hard work and good laughs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Responding to maintenance requests – plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.
Troubleshooting like a detective with a toolbelt
Prepping units for new residents (we call it "turning them into showstoppers")
Maintaining property grounds, ensuring safety and curb appeal
Assisting in on-call rotations (we share the load like champs)
Working closely with the on-site manager and property management team
What You Bring:
1+ year of experience in general maintenance or a similar field
Skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and appliance repair
Strong problem-solving ability and a knack for prioritizing tasks
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience using online systems (for timesheets, work orders, etc.)
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently
Basic personal tool set
Must pass a background check
English and Spanish speaking preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift regularly
Comfortable lifting/moving up to 50lbs.
Able to work on multi-level buildings and in active physical conditions
Perks of the Job:
Competitive hourly pay (DOE) - $25.50
Uniforms provided at no cost
Health, dental & vision insurance
Paid holidays & PTO
Career growth and training opportunities
A team that actually enjoys working together (yes, really!)
If you love solving problems, working with your hands, and being part of a team that treats you like family, we want to hear from you.
