Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining all required safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore machinery to normal operation with minimal downtime.
• Install, assemble, test, and commission new machinery and production equipment.
• Lubricate machinery and replace worn, damaged, or defective components as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, equipment schematics, and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, service reports, and equipment logs.
• Follow workplace safety policies, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
• Assist with root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance workshop and production environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to diagnose industrial equipment issues efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in industrial environments.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational standards.
