Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical steel fabrication machinery to optimize production efficiency.
Safety & Guarding Support: Collaborate with the safety team to design, build, and install machine guards and safety devices while adhering strictly to Nucor and OSHA standards.
Operational Support: Generate parts lists, estimate labor time for repairs, maintain complete maintenance records, and assist the Branch Manager with machine purchasing and installation.
Training & Leadership: Train key shop personnel on newly installed equipment and machine modifications while promoting a strong safety culture across the branch.

Candidate Qualifications
Technical Experience: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams.
Preferred Expertise: Prior experience with industrial plant operations, AC/DC motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Power Transformers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), root cause analysis, vendor coordination, and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Work Requirements & Physical Demands: Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, formal electrical safety knowledge, capability to perform heavy lifting in varied plant conditions, and willingness to work extended hours or travel occasionally.
