Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician works on-site to complete all maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as directed by their supervisor. Their responsibilities include:

• Completing daily work orders for residential units and common areas as needed.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use.
• Knowledge of painting and drywall repair.
• Adhering to preventive maintenance programs to the building as required.
• Identifying and repairing potential safety hazards.
• Adhering to the company safety policies and safety measures.
• Performing all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to diagnose and perform repairs on HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and perform repairs on appliances.
• Must be able to work a full shift, required work schedule on-site, the property.
• Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
• Must be available for additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
• Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins that extend beyond normal full-time hours.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, as required by the demands of the job.

Ideal Candidate

• High School or equivalent education preferred.
• 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of MEP systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods and processes.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or able to attain within the first 3 months of employment.

Specifications

All Engineering Staff

• The ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions.
• Must be able to demonstrate safe work practices and the proper use of PPE.
• Must have a valid drivers license, valid insurance, and reliable transportation.

Youll crush it if you have experience with:

• Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Experience with Entrata and Microsoft Office
• Experience in student housing and multi-family industries
