Job Opportunity: Butler Indiana

Our client is looking to hire a maintenance technician for their team! Our client is a leading service center in providing products and services like blanking, slitting, and toll processing to various industries!

The maintenance technician would be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on production equipment, repair production equipment, and inside facilities maintenance.

Qualified candidates would have experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance, PLCs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and welding or fabrication.

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment & overhead cranes
- Repair all production equipment as needed
- Perform breakdown analysis
- Perform general housekeeping
- Upgrade production line with new equipment/technology
- Select and supervise outside contractors when needed
- Follow ISO requirements
- Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed

Job Qualifications:

- Expertise in troubleshooting and repair of flat-rolled steel processing equipment (i.e. slitter, multi-blank line)
- PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.)
- Lift truck repairs and preventative maintenance
- Overhead Crane inspection and repairs
- Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
- Hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting)
- Pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting)
- Pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.)
- Gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts,)
- Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs)Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
- Fabrication and welding
- Product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
- Reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
