Pay Rate: $27.40 per hour

Summary:

  • Location: Cambridge, MD
  • Duration: 3 Months
  • Shift work that will include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations.
  • Handle installation and modification of chemical processing and auxiliary equipment.
  • Promote safety and organization within the maintenance department.
  • Review and update Work Instructions and recommend preventative maintenance intervals.
  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
  • Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects with defined scope and schedule.
  • Recommend spare parts inventory levels.
  • Write Purchase Requisitions for necessary parts.
  • Perform component rebuilds and calibrations.
  • Understand and follow process flow within chemical processing equipment and perform leak checks.
  • Follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Organize and sort information using available computer software.
  • Complete all assigned training successfully.
  • Participate actively on the company's emergency response (ER) team and ER entry team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and shave regularly to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and fully encapsulated ER suit.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related to fluid systems.
  • Understanding of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation.
  • Ability to pass a respiratory and physical test to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Fitness for duty, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to read and construct from a P&ID or engineering drawing.
  • Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
  • General maintenance and tube bending skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
