Our Client is looking to hire a 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technician for their location in Canton Ohio. Our client is a US leader in manufacturing aluminum extrusions!
The Maintenance Mechanic would be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and making sure electrical motors are running properly.
Qualified Candidates for this role would have experience with industrial mechanical maintenance, electrical industrial maintenance with pneumatics and hydraulics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
- Work with electrical motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and maintain automated systems.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in compliance with company policies.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting using an ohmmeter.
- Skilled and experienced in the areas of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, basic welding, and rigging.
- Ability to use a programmable logic controller (PLC) for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of heavy machinery safety (LOTO).
- Ability to lift and move equipment or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds
