Job Summary

The successful candidate for this position is responsible for overseeing contractors to perform maintenance, facility upgrades, installation, of mechanical piping and equipment. Other responsibilities include ensuring our equipment is being installed up to company standards and is working correctly. Technicians also answer trouble calls and/or coordinate the correct contractor for the job to get the issue resolved. Filling in for Leads and field technicians to perform daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and supervising the work of all site operations • Ensuring that all work is delivered safely and on time • Managing equipment and materials required by company • Enforcing all company safety and environmental policies while contributing to a 'Safety First' working culture • Overseeing contractors perform maintenance, facility upgrades, installation, of mechanical piping and equipment • Filling in for Leads and field technicians to perform daily operations as needed • Effectively communicating and working well with other coworkers • Installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining pump equipment throughout the Delaware/Permian Basin according to company and industry standards • Understanding water hydraulics and system gain/loss processes • Reading schematics and referring to manufacturer specifications to disassemble and reassemble complex equipment and machinery • Utilizing software to troubleshoot systems, read and program VFDs • Monitoring SCADA systems or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware • Actively participating in additional training • Completing all paperwork accurately and efficiently • Submitting detailed daily reports and daily cost if applicable

Other duties as assigned within the scope of the business.

Qualifications

4-6 years minimum of experience in oil/gas mechanical construction, pump operations, or related experience with rotating equipment. Candidate must possess knowledge with computers and Microsoft Office applications. Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently.

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule

This position utilizes an 8/6 schedule that could require working overtime, weekends, and holidays. WES reserves the right to change employee's schedule if it is required by operations. Candidate must live within 75 miles of Carlsbad, NM.
