The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of building systems and equipment. This position requires hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and correct issues with building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
  • Maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC-related components.
  • Install and repair electrical fixtures, outlets, wiring, and lighting systems in compliance with safety codes.
  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems including valves, pumps, drains, and fixtures.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance on motors, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls.
  • Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related trade.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Electrical certification / license a plus
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently or in a team.
  • Computer Skills and Work Order Systems knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative team oriented.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work including climbing ladders and working in various environments.
