A manufacturing company in Centralia is seeking a full-time Plant Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing.


  • Ensures optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing routine and preventive


  • maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Follows diagrams, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; efficiently troubleshoots malfunctions to minimize downtime.


  • Identifies root causes of mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation, listening for irregularities, and utilizing precision measuring and testing instruments.


  • Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices, utilizing hoists, cranes, and various hand and power tools, and thoroughly examining the form and texture of components.


  • Assesses wear and dimensional changes in parts through detailed inspections using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.


  • Adjusts and calibrates functional device components and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.


  • Reduces equipment downtime by training production personnel on routine preventive maintenance and ensuring adherence to best practices.


  • Fabricates repair parts using machine shop equipment and instrumentation. Manages inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by monitoring stock levels, forecasting needs, expediting orders, and verifying deliveries.


  • Maximizes maintenance resources by utilizing equipment and supplies efficiently to achieve job objectives.


  • Serves as a resource for mechanical maintenance information by addressing questions and requests. Prepares detailed maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.


  • Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, and cultivating professional networks.


  • Ensures continuity among work teams by thoroughly documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing operational needs.
