This job posting is for a Maintenance Technician at our Chicago Sheet plant located at 5555 W 73rd St, Bedford Park, IL 60638.

Shift: 3rd Shift (1100 PM - 7:00 AM)
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime, and waste.
Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment-specific maintenance skills.
The position may also require attendance at external training that may require occasional overnight travel.
Must be able to follow all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
Must have knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems, and industrial equipment.
Be passionate about maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must have own basic tools. PCA will provide specialized tools and an annual tool allowance.
The production schedule is 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree and/or comparable experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment, particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.
Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $37.83 - $43.30 based on skills and experience.
Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
Paid Vacation: One week per calendar year for new hires. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
Paid Holidays.
Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee and their dependents are eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages - medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life AD&D and disability coverages.
Upon hire, an employee is able to enroll in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer-provided matching contributions.
1.5 pay over 8 hours over 40 hours and weekends.
1.5 pay on holidays plus additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays.
Uniforms provided.
Up to 100 paid training hours annually for technicians to advance through the progressive skill levels.
Stipend for safety shoes, safety glasses, and tools.
