Inclusive Excellence Statement Advertised Job Summary Maintenance Technician University of South Carolina Upstate STA Spartanburg, SC The Maintenance Technician performs skilled trades and custodial duties in the performance of repairs and maintenance of buildings Housing & Residential Life facilities. Provide training and supervision to temporary & student staff. Regularly inspect facilities and promptly address repair and custodial issues.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Working knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment & materials used in maintenance applicable to the job, especially HVAC. Working knowledge of techniques, methods & practices of designated trades. Skill in use of tools & equipment. Ability to read, understand and interpret plans & specifications. Familiar with most current HVAC practices. Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Work in an environment with students, faculty and administration while maintaining appropriate behavior.
