About the Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, commercial kitchen equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role requires hands-on expertise in servicing and repairing foodservice and culinary equipment, including hot-side cooking equipment, kitchen ventilation systems, and light refrigeration equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. The team is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and other building systems.

• Service and maintain commercial kitchen equipment, including:

• Hot-side cooking equipment (ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, steamers, broilers, and related appliances)

• HVAC and kitchen ventilation systems

• Cooling equipment and refrigeration units

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment failures, and perform repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair small refrigeration systems and related controls.

• Respond to emergency service calls and restore equipment operation as quickly and safely as possible.

• Assist with the installation, modification, and commissioning of building equipment and foodservice systems.

• Review assigned work orders and utilize available systems to document and track completion.

• Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building and kitchen systems are operating efficiently.

• Inspect existing installations for compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and operational standards.

• Utilize strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Provide excellent customer service while communicating clearly with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward operational and maintenance issues.

• Deliver work in accordance with defined processes, safety requirements, and service expectations.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1 to 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

• Strong experience servicing and maintaining commercial culinary and foodservice equipment.

• Experience working with:

• Hot-side cooking equipment (ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, steamers, etc.)

• HVAC and kitchen ventilation systems

• Commercial cooling equipment and refrigeration units

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing small refrigeration systems.

• Knowledge of refrigeration principles, controls, and equipment operation.

• CFC/EPA Certification preferred.

• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive, problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to follow established work routines, procedures, and safety standards.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying items weighing 50 pounds or more.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $40.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $44.71 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
