Maintenance Technician

SMV Recruiting is actively looking for a Maintenance Technician to work out of Concord, NC. Our client is looking for someone who has at least 2 years of maintenance experience coupled with 3+ years in the manufacturing industry. Someone who has previously done installation and rigging, maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine repair is strongly desired. Must have experience maintaining HVAC systems, boilers, piping, pumps and chilled water systems and troubleshooting electrical controls. Knowledge of preventative maintenance and a forklift certification is a huge plus. We need a someone who is smart, eager and looking for a career with a company. Responsibilities

• Inputs and maintains the data integrity of the shop floor inventory
• Assists in the execution of the production plan
• Function as group leader for areas, assuring uniform workflow according to priorities, keeping track of supplies and helping co-workers as needed
• Installation and rigging, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all machines, tools, equipment, and facilities support for our Concord facility
• Basic electrical control troubleshooting
• Use a variety of precision measuring and electrical instruments
• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment
• Maintain, repair and operate boiler, piping, pumps and chilled water systems
• Ensure preventative maintenance procedures are followed
• Wire electrically, size accordingly and plumb both air and steam by either verbal instructions or from a print
• Capable of set up and operation of a variety of both machine shop and maintenance repair equipment
• Support department mechanics through hands on training and/or troubleshooting of equipment in production areas
• Operate forklift trucks to move equipment and machinery
• Total Responsibility to eliminate non-conformance within quality of products

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• 5+ years maintenance experience in an injection molding environment
• Welding experience
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience with injection molding machines
• Fork-lift certification strongly preferred
• ASI System, Matrix and NCR Database
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive job functions and have manual dexterity
