Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join the team at a well-maintained apartment community in Coram, NY. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the property's appearance, completing resident service requests, and ensuring apartments and common areas are safe, functional, and move-in ready. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong troubleshooting skills, and is committed to providing excellent customer service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, patching, cleaning coordination, and preparing units for new residents.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and general building maintenance issues.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, common areas, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to help minimize equipment failures and extend asset life.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the grounds, amenities, and common areas as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in the on-call rotation as required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and inventory of maintenance supplies.
• experience with Magic Pak HVAC systems 

Salary: $27.00/hr to $34/hr
