    We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) for our Sugar Land, Texas facility. Applicants must have electrical and mechanical background.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    •     Control the efficient operation of all production equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenanceAssure the preventative maintenance program is conducted and report improvements or upgrades to our preventative maintenance schedule
    •     Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs promptly to minimize downtimeInform the appropriate facility personnel/ supervisor of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect the area of operation
    •     Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment; report all injuries, accidents, and hazards immediatelyFollow all established Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining an orderly and clean work environment
    •     Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to unexpected or emergenciesRead equipment manuals and other sources of information to assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment
    •     Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectivenessMonitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed
    •     Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.Read technical diagrams and blueprints
    •     Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

    Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required, Maintenance license and certificates a plus.

    •     10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, or equivalent military experience. Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
    •     General mechanical skills and knowledge related to troubleshooting and service of various equipment.Availability to work any shift with weekend rotation.
    •     Must be able to lift/push 100lbs.Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
    •     Ability to work with minimal supervision.General Electrical and Mechanical experience
    •     Must be able to operate/train to operate a ForkliftExperience with rotating equipment.
    •     Comfortable with computers and job reports

    Experience with any of the following is a Plus:

    • o    
    • Experience with multi-layer extrusion equipment, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) brand
    • o    
    • Experience with printing presses, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) brand
    • o    
    • Experience with roll slitting machines, specifically Kampf and Deacro brands
    • o    
    • Experience with wicketing machines, specifically LEMO brand
    • o    
    • Experience with pouching machines, specifically Totani brand

    Tools & Technology:

    •     Hand ToolsVolt Ohm Meter
    •     Welding Machining Tools 
    •     Read and interpret schematics.Scissor Lift
    •     Articulating BoomMaintenance Connection Work Order System (CMMS)
