    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled B Mechanic for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.). This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery used in the manufacturing of commercial products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.

    • Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and safety inspections on presses and other production equipment.

    • Assist with equipment changeovers, setup, and adjustments for various production lines.

    • Conduct troubleshooting and basic electrical maintenance safely and effectively.

    • Perform hot work permit tasks such as welding, cutting, and brazing as required.

    • Ensure all safety standards are maintained, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, machine safeguarding, and use of personal protective equipment.

    • Support coil loading, automated line operations, and other mechanical tasks as needed.

    • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following established policies and procedures.

    • Participate in continuous improvement and team-based initiatives to enhance production performance.

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED (from an accredited institution). 

      Minimum of 3 years of experiencein manufacturing maintenance or related mechanical repair work.
    • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electrical systems.

    • Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting automated machinery, and performing repairs in a production environment.

    Position Criteria:

    • Willingness to work 3rd shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

    • Adherence to all workplace safety standards and operating procedures.

    • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with incremental increases after 6 months.
