Join Our Team as a Skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician!
Are you an experienced maintenance technician with a strong electrical focus? We have an exciting opportunity in Houston, TX, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, excellent food, and thriving industries. Join us on a 12-month contract with the potential for direct hire, where you can make a significant impact in a leading manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, and control panels.
- Support maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems.
- Basic mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience using a CMMS for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferences
- Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical Technology.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Overtime available and required as per business needs.
- Must be available for occasional on-call support.
Additional Requirements
- Steel-toed safety shoes required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
