Maintenance Technician - Electrical Focus

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to support the maintenance and reliability of our brewery and production equipment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and minimizing equipment downtime while working closely with production and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has experience maintaining industrial equipment, diagnosing electrical issues, and safely performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues on manufacturing and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, relays, control panels, and related electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and applicable electrical codes.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with significant electrical responsibilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently.
• Experience reading electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with industrial motors, control circuits, and electrical components.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
• Experience in food, beverage, brewing, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with VFDs, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and packaging equipment.
• Technical degree or electrical certification.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and occasionally in hot, cold, or wet environments.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and wear required PPE.
