JBM

JBM Packaging, A History of Excellence

A family-owned business, JBM Envelope was started in 1985 by Greg Sheanshang. JBM started out as an envelope brokerage business, in a small office, with just three employees. The company, from the beginning, was focused on developing a culture of quality, innovation and excellence—with a “family” feel. In fact, Mr. Sheanshang named the company after his three children: Jennifer, Bridget and Marcus. Although Mr. Sheanshang still retains a premium parking place, he has retired from daily operations.

Like all great business success stories, JBM started out as a small company. Today JBM operates in a 100,000 square foot facility. Many of the employees who helped the business grow continue to work there, where employees number over 150.

Leading Strategic Growth into New Markets

MarcusSheanshangMarcus Sheanshang began working at JBM at age 11, learning the company from the ground up. His jobs ranged from machine operator to customer service, and ultimately into management. Marcus purchased the company, and has led day-to-day operations since 2008.

Under Marcus’s leadership, JBM has continuously invested in new technologies, developed additional capabilities and diversified product offerings. The company currently manufactures a number of different packaging products.

Backed by the company name and trusted reputation, JBM Packaging is committed to industry-leading initiatives, including:

  • Continuous improvement. Engaged in this initiative, our employees are reducing waste and cycle times, while increasing quality and safety.
  • Innovation. Our Innovation Team is dedicated to working together—solving customer problems and advancing product design.
  • Sustainability. Committed to the environment, the company is Rainforest Alliance Certified™ and certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative).
