The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role supports production uptime by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment failures, and collaborating with operations to minimize downtime while ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.

Job Details

Qualifications

Required:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (aluminum, metals, extrusion, casting, or similar heavy industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with working experience in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems under minimal supervision
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and use precision measuring tools
  • Commitment to safe work practices and teamwork

Preferred:
  • Experience in aluminum manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting experience (ladder logic a plus)
  • Welding or fabrication experience (MIG / TIG / stick)
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and lean / continuous improvement practices
