Maintenance Technician Website Summary
Trak group is partnering with a manufacturing client seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
The ideal candidate is a strong mechanical troubleshooter who can respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and complete repairs that minimize downtime and keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical equipment issues.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement appropriate repairs.
Disassemble, repair, replace, and reassemble machine components.
Inspect machinery for wear, damage, and potential component failures.
Adjust, align, calibrate, and test equipment following repairs.
Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery to improve equipment reliability.
Fabricate or repair components using machine shop and welding equipment as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders.
Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately.
Monitor spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and commissioning.
Respond quickly to production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Partner with Production, vendors, and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
13 years of manufacturing or production maintenance experience.
Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems.
Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, manuals, and work orders.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing maintenance environment and wear required PPE.
PLC and HMI troubleshooting/programming experience.
Experience with GE manufacturing equipment or automation systems.
Hydraulic troubleshooting experience.
Welding, plasma cutting, and oxy-fuel torch experience.
Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.
Machine shop or component fabrication experience.
Equipment installation and commissioning experience.
