HireLevel is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Evansville, IN.
In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Location: Evansville, IN
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $20+/hr. (based on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities of the Associate Chemist:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Diagnose equipment failures and restore machinery to proper operating condition
- Repair and maintain mixers, production equipment, forklifts, and other industrial machinery
- Inspect equipment and replace or adjust components to improve performance
- Install, modify, and fabricate equipment as needed to support manufacturing operations
- Complete preventive maintenance (TPM) activities and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, downtime reports, and repair documentation
- Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts and maintenance supplies
- Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures and support all plant safety initiatives
- Assist with equipment calibration and gage control activities
- Support recycling, environmental compliance, and hazardous waste procedures
- Train and mentor new maintenance team members
- Communicate maintenance updates and equipment status between shifts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in emergency response activities when needed
Requirements for Maintenance Tech:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Manufacturing or production maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and circuit testers
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation and technical information
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
