Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our production facility, equipment, and grounds running smoothly. This role is less about high-end automation and more about being the go-to person for building systems, material handling equipment, and general upkeep across the plant.

What You'll Do

\n

• \n
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors/dock equipment, etc.)
• \n
• Maintain and troubleshoot overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
• \n
• Respond to maintenance requests from management and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime
• \n
• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to catch safety hazards before they become problems
• \n
• Handle general repairs — carpentry, painting, basic electrical/plumbing, and equipment upkeep
• \n
• Keep common areas, storage areas, and mechanical rooms clean and organized
• \n
• Handle snow removal and grounds upkeep as seasons require
• \n
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Overhead cranes and hoists
• \n
• Forklifts and other material handling equipment

• Building systems and general facility infrastructure

• Basic mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the plant

What We're Looking For

\n

• \n
• 4+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience
• \n
• Solid mechanical aptitude and general troubleshooting ability
• \n
• Comfortable working on cranes, forklifts, and other powered equipment (certification a plus, or willingness to get certified)
• \n
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
• \n
• Self-driven and dependable — someone who can be handed a punch list and just get it done
• \n

Preferred Experience

• \n
• Overhead crane or forklift maintenance
• \n
• HVAC or building systems experience
• \n
• Manufacturing or industrial facility background
• \n

\n

Education & Experience

\n

• \n
• High School Diploma or GED required
• \n
• Technical/trade certification a plus but not required
• \n
• 4+ years of facilities maintenance or related experience
• \n

\n

\n

Work Environment

\n

• \n
• Industrial manufacturing facility, including outdoor grounds work
• \n
• Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
• \n
• Physically active role — standing, walking, lifting, climbing as needed
• \n
