Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of G-III facilities through preventative maintenance, repairs, and building operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate company facilities to ensure buildings remain clean, functional, well-maintained, safe, and secure.
- Perform general building repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and other related repairs.
- Clean, inspect, lubricate, maintain, organize, and properly store tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Move office furniture, equipment, and supplies within and between company facilities as needed.
- Observe, document, and report facility, safety, and operational issues to management.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and personal protective equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Coordinate with external vendors and building management, monitor completed work, and ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
- Complete work orders, maintain maintenance records, and ensure timely follow-up and completion of assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with internal departments to prioritize service requests and maintenance tickets.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues whenever possible during the initial service visit.
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, repairs, and additional facility support as required.
- Communicate maintenance updates to internal teams and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five (5) years of experience in building construction, maintenance, or repair; a trade school certificate or related educational program may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with well-rounded hands-on maintenance skills.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical systems, and HVAC maintenance.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work orders and respond to changing business needs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to hear and visually identify safety concerns and emergency situations.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk throughout multiple facilities.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required to operate tools and maintenance equipment.

The pay for this position is: $33.00 per hour.
