Title- Maintenance Technician Facilities

Location- Rushville, IN, USA,46173

Duration- 5 months contract

Weekly Schedule (how many hours/days): 40

Shift Times: 6:30am-2:30 pm Mon-Fri

Jon Description

• General Maintenance Operator needed for assembly of corn husking beds and relevant equipment.
• Must have mechanical ability and be safety minded.
• Key characteristics are the ability to listen, follow directions and communicate. Candidate must have reliable attendance and transportation.
• General maintenance or agriculture experience helpful but not required.

Any specific skills, requirements or experience you want in a candidate:

• Mechanical ability, Reliable attendance, and transportation, Communication, Ability to follow directions.
• Some maintenance work experience nice but not required.
• Ability to lift 60lbs
• PPE: Over the ankle steel toe boots.
• Note: Position will require use of ladders and lifts: Ladders are 8ft. We require a tie off for anything above 4ft. Lifts are no higher than 40ft with a tie off at all times.
• During busy seasons, workers may need to work a second or third shift for a period of time, generally for a few weeks and with notice.
• During harvest, workers may also be required to work longer days and/or weekends due to weather conditions and business needs.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure all work meets safety standards through consistent practices
• Support plant operations through corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools
• assist and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed
• Assist in maintaining detailed equipment records
• Working with Operations to ensure maintenance activities are completed without interrupting production
• Other duties as assigned

What Skills You Need:

• Holds a valid US driver's license
• Possess basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn, understand, and apply mechanical concepts
• Demonstrates problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations helpful
• Ability to safely perform duties in timely fashion while maintaining seed quality
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed
• Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces
• Always maintains safety standards and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
• Exposure to dust and plant allergens
