Maintenance Technician

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 1st shift - 7: 00am - 5: 45pm Monday-Friday, weekend work as needed (shift diff of 5%)

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Fairfield, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 

Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient operations with minimal downtime. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance across a variety of manufacturing equipment while supporting a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable operation of production equipment

  • Troubleshoot and optimize automated machinery, including PLC-controlled systems and high-speed equipment, to maintain performance and efficiency

  • Support automation, robotics, and welding operations by assisting with diagnostics, adjustments, and equipment upkeep

  • Maintain and service stamping presses and related equipment, ensuring proper function and adherence to safety standards

  • Follow and promote safety protocols, including compliance with OSHA and lockout/tagout procedures

  • Document maintenance activities, track equipment performance, and communicate repair needs and improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support ongoing operations and continuous improvement efforts

Performance Expectations:


  • Ensure consistent attendance, reliability, and flexibility to support production demands and minimize downtime

  • Complete repairs and preventive maintenance activities efficiently to maintain equipment performance and uptime

  • Promote a strong safety culture while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with several years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and work with standard shop equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, including PLCs and industrial controls

  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding principles

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and communicate effectively

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed

  • Capable of standing for extended periods throughout the shift

  • Comfortable performing frequent physical movements such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and repetitive tasks

  • Able to work in confined spaces and at heights when required
