Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is looking for an experience Maintenance Technician. The hours are 3pm-11:30pm, M-F, Full Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and facility systems, including motors, gearboxes, pumps, boilers, compressors, PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, plumbing, heating, and basic refrigeration.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Follow GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and be available for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLCs and motor controls.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairs.
• TIG welding experience and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school training preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
