Maintenance Technician

OverviewThe Maintenance Technician at Farbman Group is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the safety, comfort, and functionality of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues
• Assist with preparing units for new occupants, including cleaning and repairs
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas and grounds
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and local regulations
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance services

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certifications preferred
• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in residential or commercial properties
• Proficient knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Basic computer literacy for work order and maintenance tracking systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
