Whether responding to a guest who needs help operating their thermostat, replacing batteries in a TV remote, unclogging a toilet, repairing an HVAC unit, troubleshooting electrical or mechanical systems, or maintaining the beauty of our outdoor spaces, our Maintenance Technicians approach every task with professionalism, urgency, and genuine hospitality.

What You''ll Do

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests while providing friendly, courteous service.

  • Assist guests with minor in-room issues such as:

  • Replacing TV remote batteries

  • Operating thermostats or in-room technology

  • Troubleshooting televisions and Wi-Fi-related equipment

  • Addressing HVAC concerns, including air conditioning or fan issues

  • Unclogging toilets and drains

  • Resolving minor plumbing, lighting, or furniture concerns

  • Communicate clearly with guests throughout the repair process and ensure concerns are resolved to their satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Front Desk and Housekeeping to prioritize guest-impacting maintenance issues.

Preventative & General Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure equipment and facilities remain in excellent working condition.

  • Complete routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, and hotel equipment.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair building systems and equipment.

  • Perform repairs involving:

  • Electrical systems

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Carpentry

  • Painting

  • Drywall and finishing

  • Doors, locks, and hardware

  • Appliances and equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders.

Exterior & Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain the appearance and safety of the hotel''s exterior, landscaping, sidewalks, parking areas, and entrances.

  • Perform seasonal outdoor maintenance including:

  • Landscaping and plant care

  • Mulching and trimming

  • Leaf removal

  • Snow and ice removal

  • Salting walkways

  • Pressure washing

  • Outdoor lighting repairs

  • Work comfortably in varying weather conditions, including hot summer temperatures and cold winter conditions.

Safety & Operations

  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and hotel safety procedures.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and correct or report them immediately.
  • Support hotel emergency procedures and assist during emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe maintenance shop and work environment.

Teamwork

  • Partner with all hotel departments to ensure maintenance needs are addressed efficiently.
  • Communicate repair status and project updates with leaders and fellow team members.
  • Assist with special projects, renovations, furniture moves, room setups, and other operational needs.
  • Support the team wherever needed to provide an exceptional guest experience.

What We''re Looking For

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) or more years of maintenance experience preferred, ideally within hospitality, commercial facilities, apartments, healthcare, or similar environments.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Trade certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver''s license preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work from ladders throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Safely operate maintenance equipment, power tools, and machinery.
  • Visually inspect equipment, read gauges, diagrams, manuals, and work orders.
