Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianShift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMPay: $25.00 per hour
Penmac Staffing is now hiring a Maintenance Technician!We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring production equipment remains in optimal working condition.Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Complete both emergency repairs during production operations and scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety requirements and procedures, including:
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Arc Flash Safety
  • Hot Work Procedures
  • Confined Space Procedures
• Respond to and assist with equipment breakdowns across all departments.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including:
  • Bearings
  • Gears
  • Sprockets
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Pumps
• Demonstrate basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including:
  • Using a voltmeter
  • Checking and replacing fuses
  • Diagnosing faulty motor starters, relays, and motors
  • Safely troubleshooting AC and DC electrical circuits
• Assist maintenance crews with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
• Support fabrication projects and production improvement initiatives.
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed. MIG and TIG welding experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
