Maintenance Technician / General Mechanical

Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Salary: $55,000–$70,000 annually + Benefits

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician / General Mechanical to support maintenance operations within a chemical manufacturing/industrial production facility in Danbury, CT. This role will work with large-scale manufacturing equipment and building systems, assisting with mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have direct industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience and be comfortable troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in a safety-focused environment.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of directly related industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical, production, or similar industrial facility.

• Experience with plumbing systems, pumps, boilers, heaters, valves, chilled water, steam, gas, drainage, and other mechanical/building systems.

• Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, and safely operate hand/power tools, machinery, and equipment as required.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent technical training; plumbing-related certification or technical education is a plus.

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills with mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial equipment; ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.

• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, equipment inspection, maintenance documentation, inventory/supplies, and safe use of hand and power tools; forklift experience is a plus.
