Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a knack for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping equipment running smoothly? Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join their Maintenance team in Belding, MI. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in diagnosing, repairing, and improving machinery while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in a collaborative, safety-focused, and fast-paced work environment.

Day Shift and Night shift openings! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including vacuum systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and machine control circuits, including conveyor drive systems, variable frequency drives, I/O switch functions, and equipment wiring.
  • Perform major repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance tasks to maintain peak equipment performance.
  • Participate in machine installations, retrofits, rebuilds, and upgrades to improve equipment reliability and functionality.
  • Suggest and implement machinery upgrades, process improvements, and automation solutions.
  • Read and interpret relay diagrams and PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Assist in the design, programming, and testing of machinery and control systems.
  • Complete service documentation and maintain machine records accurately.
  • Provide training and mentorship to teammates while monitoring preventive maintenance programs.
  • Fabricate, weld (MIG & TIG), and assist in machine building projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment 
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and service advanced equipment and controls.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming, debugging, and machine automation.
  • Computer literacy and ability to complete documentation.
  • Fabrication skills, including welding (MIG & TIG).
