    Description

    Position Summary

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position supports preventative maintenance activities, diagnoses electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues, and performs repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

    Key Responsibilities

    Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues with production equipment.

    Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.

    Maintain proper fluid levels in hydraulic reservoirs and monitor equipment conditions.

    Maintain equipment filters and replace as necessary or according to PM schedules.

    Grease and lubricate equipment as required by manufacturer instructions and maintenance procedures.

    Repair mechanical issues, including hydraulic, air, and water leaks, in a timely manner.

    Maintain and test safety devices on equipment to ensure proper operation.

    Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance work.

    Perform emergency repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance activities.

    Participate in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities.

    Enter, review, and complete maintenance work orders accurately.

    Maintain forklift maintenance checklists and required documentation.

    Perform additional maintenance tasks and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Minimum of one (1) year of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

    Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

    Ability to read and understand technical documents, manuals, and maintenance instructions.

    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues efficiently.

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of associates.

    Ability to actively participate in problem-solving and improvement activities.

    Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and apply torque up to 180 lbs.

    Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and proportions.

    Ability to support overtime during the week and weekends as needed.
