Maintenance Technician - Groundskeeper (Mural Brownsburg)

Overview:

Buckingham is seeking a tenacious maintenance professional who demonstrates a high sense of urgency, manages priorities effectively, is coachable and overcomes obstacles. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining optimal resident experience, property performance and presentation.

 

This role is a hybrid position that sits between two traditional roles:

 

• Groundskeeper — basic grounds upkeep
• Maintenance Tech — focused on unit turns, work orders, and building systems

This role combines both, with primary ownership of:

• Irrigation monitoring and repair
• Bed and landscape maintenance
• Seasonal color (plantings)
• Snow removal coordination
• Overall grounds curb appeal

Qualified candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently, have reliable transportation and availability for 24-hour, on-call maintenance upon schedule. Additionally, qualified candidates must carry an owned smartphone device (cell phone reimbursement will be awarded).

Responsibilities:

As Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for all daily repairs and maintenance of the apartment community. You will perform services needed for HVAC systems, electrical/mechanical systems, plumbing, grounds, structural elements, mechanical equipment and refurbishment of apartments. A strong candidate is one with a high degree of accountability and ownership, excellent time management skills and internal and external customer service.
