Maintenance Technician

• Initiating and completing preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Preparing work orders for maintenance or repairs to be performed by other technicians or contractors
• Performing basic electrical troubleshooting, repairing electrical wiring, and replacing fuses or circuit breakers
• Installing new equipment such as machinery or equipment, including welding structural support components to meet building codes
• Repairing plumbing fixtures and fittings, including faucets and toilets
• Inspecting equipment to determine the cause of malfunctions or breakdowns and recommending repairs
• Installing or removing equipment such as motors, compressors, pumps, or generators
• Maintaining equipment performance through scheduled tuneups and repair of parts using hand tools such as wrenches, drills, and welding equipment
• Performing basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaky faucets and replacing clogs in drains with plungers or snaking devices
