Maintenance Technician

High School Diploma or GED required.

4+ years of prior Maintenance Technician or equivalent position

Basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing skills.

Basic machine repair skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Applicable certifications (ISO/Six Sigma)

Prior experience working in an ITAR environment

Chemical Room Maintenance experience

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician, who would be responsible for general building maintenance, cleaning, safety, operating and maintaining the Chemical Room. Additionally, preforming equipment repair and plant maintenance functions.

Position Responsibilities:

Operates the Chemical Room including managing chemical cleaning requirements for raw components and finished feedthroughs. Maintains compliance with OSHA, HAZMAT, Environmental and other Safety requirements for chemical handling.

Performs chemical alteration of material: pre and post etching of glass.

Preforms glass lot evaluations to determine pre-etch preparations requirements.

Maintains equipment and building including preventative maintenance.

Specifies and orders maintenance equipment and supplies.

Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors.

Recommends equipment capital improvement projects and cost reductions.

May be called upon to make job estimates, material lists.

Performs general tasks on the maintenance of plant or office buildings.

Preforms, daily, weekly cleaning schedule.

Mowing, weed whacking, leaf blowing, general outside clean up.

Must be capable of working off ladders, this includes being able to carry and set up 20ft extension ladder
